Carnival Cruise Lines’ new 130,000-ton Carnival Dream will introduce outdoor laser shows that will combine laser technology with rock music. The 15-minute nighttime shows will feature choreographed lasers projecting aerial patterns of blue, red and green set to music by artists such as Styx, Rush, Van Halen, Boston and Pink Floyd. Smoke machines will be used to enhance the laser light effects.

Four all-weather LaserNet ScannerPro lasers will be positioned high atop the Lido Deck. Each high-wattage laser will be independently computer controlled using Pangolin Laser Designer software that synchronizes the lasers in time with the music, which will be amplified by the 70,000-watt sound system of the ship’s Seaside Theatre LED screen. The Seaside Theatre’s jumbo monitor will also display graphics and original music videos of the various artists played during the show. Carnival Dream is set to debut Sept. 21 with three 12-day “Grand Mediterranean” cruises round-trip from Rome, followed by a 16-day trans-Atlantic crossing from Rome (Civitavecchia) to New York Oct. 27 to Nov. 12. From New York, Carnival Dream will operate two eight-day Bahamas/Florida cruises departing Nov. 15 and Nov. 23, then reposition to Port Canaveral for a nine-day Caribbean cruise departing Dec. 3. Carnival Dream will launch year-round seven-day Caribbean service from Port Canaveral, Dec. 12.

CARNIVAL TO OFFER ROUND-TRIP ALASKA CRUISES FROM SEATTLE STARTING IN MAY, 2010

For the first time ever, Carnival will operate a schedule of seven-day Alaska cruises round-trip from Seattle beginning in May, 2010.
In total, 17 week-long Alaska cruises will operate from the Port of Seattle from May 11 to August 31, 2010 departing Tuesdays aboard the 2,124-passenger Carnival Spirit.
Port calls on these voyages include the popular Alaskan destinations of Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, as well as Victoria and cruising Tracy Arm Fjord.

YOUR CHOICE DINING

We are very excited to have recently announced a new flexible dining program called “Your Choice Dining.” Now your clients will have the choice of three different dinner seating options. In addition to Early or Late assigned seating, we are rolling out “Your Time” open seating to accommodate those guests who have specific dining preferences. At the time of booking, guests will be asked to choose from among Early dining at 6pm, Late dining at 8:15 pm or "Your Time" dining which allows guests to dine at any time between 5:45pm and 9:30pm. And here’s some more good news -- the new "Your Choice" Dining program allows dining assignments to be confirmed when booking.

With "Your Time" dining, your clients will love being able to request any table size or wait staff. And although our goal is to seat them immediately when arriving at the dining room, if there is a modest wait time, they will be given a pager so they are free to relax elsewhere on the ship until their table is ready.
As "Your Time" dining is implemented on each ship, guests already booked will be provided the opportunity to switch or retain their original choice.

As always, Carnival will offer additional dining options such as extensive poolside eateries offering a wide variety of cuisine choices in a casual environment and, on a number of ships, elegant, reservations-recommended restaurants serving fine quality dry-aged U.S.D.A. prime steaks and other dishes in an intimate, upscale atmosphere.

YOUTH PROGRAM PRE-REGISTRATION

Parents can now enjoy the convenience of pre-registering their children for Carnival's youth program online before setting sail, allowing children and teens to join the various activities immediately upon boarding. 
A link to pre-register for the youth program will appear after Fun Pass registration is completed.

Currently only Camp Carnival (2-12 Years) and Circle “C” (12 -14 Years) are active but Club O2 (15-17 Years) is expected to be available shortly. We will keep you posted.
Guests must pre-register at least 72 hours before their departure date.  If this window has passed, a message will appear indicating that pre-registration is not available but registration may take place on board.

Carnival Cruise Lines is planning a new entertainment program for its newest and largest “Fun Ship,” the 130,000-ton Carnival Dream. In addition to three production revues, Carnival Dream will offer solo singers, comedians, live bands and “Fun Force,” an acrobatic team that will perform throughout the ship. “The increased size of the Carnival Dream provides us with an expansive canvas to create some truly unique and innovative entertainment options that are sure to leave audiences amazed,” said Roger Blum, Carnival’s vice president of cruise programming. The first production show, titled “Dancin’ in the Street,” combines a gritty, urban feel with special effects such as neon lighting and video projection technology. The show features break-dancing numbers, acrobatic Chinese pole routines and a trampoline segment. The second show, “Get Ready,” takes a musical look at various professions through the Motown era, R&B hits and elaborate production numbers. The third show, “Xtreme Country,” salutes country and western music.

Carnival Dream will offer other entertainment venues. The new Ocean Plaza will feature a different entertainment options throughout the day and night. The ship will also feature comedy revues and Seaside Theatre, a massive LED screen on Lido Deck that will display movies, concerts, sporting events and other programming. Other options include solo singers along the Dream Street promenade, a dedicated karaoke lounge, Sam’s piano bar, steel drum and Calypso bands on Lido Deck and live bands playing everything from rock to country to disco.
